United Way Recruiting Groups to Help with “Day of Action” Project

On June 21, 2010, United Way of Palm Beach County hosted a “Day of Action”. This “Day of Action” was a fitness field day at the YMCA of the Palm Beaches in Boynton Beach from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

More than 100 of the YMCA’s summer campers, ages 4-10 participated in the fitness field day. United Way found volunteers to help oversee and sponsor fitness games such as the three-legged race, jump rope, relay and wheel barrow race, basketball and much more.

“United Way’s National Day of Action is a call to action for individuals to LIVE UNITED in their community. It is a perfect day to let your actions speak louder than words and to show how you give, advocate and volunteer in your community, ” said Charles Anderson, President and CEO, United Way of Palm Beach County.
