Former Homeless Man Finds New Life in Volunteering
Jerry Griffin used to live on the streets where he abused drugs and alcohol. Wishing to start on a new path, Griffin began volunteering at the Food Bank of Northern Indiana. Griffin is now off the streets and continues to work with the food bank as an employee.
“The food pantry does a great job feeding so many people, so I love this job,” Griffin said.
“He wants to be able to encourage others who are struggling, going through difficult times. He really wants to show other people that there is a light at the end of the tunnel,” said Lisa Jaworski, CEO
