Traditional Media Strategies for Nonprofits

In the age of social media, community residents who have limited Internet access or lack the knowledge and skill needed to navigate the Web are often left behind. The “Digital Divide” acts as a barrier for community members to access resources and opportunities only advertised on the Internet. The HandsOn Corps VISTA Leaders are hosting a webinar that will address traditional media strategies to promote events and volunteer engagement at nonprofits. Melissa Golden, the Chief External Affairs Officer of Points of Light Institute, will be joining us to discuss traditional media strategies, outreach, and answer all media-related questions. Participants with learn how to utilize traditional media outlets to promote projects, recruit volunteers, and better engage the community. Please join us!
